Together for a strong economy
At the general meeting of the Teufen Trade Association (GVT) on March 20, 2025, Nadja Hipp was elected as the new President. She succeeds Thomas Schirmer, who stepped down after six years in office. Below, Nadja describes why she is committed to the business community on a voluntary basis.
For a strong network
As the newly elected President of the Teufen Trade Association, I am looking forward to representing the interests of our members and actively contributing to the promotion of the local economy. The Teufen Trade Association forms a strong network of committed entrepreneurs who are actively involved in politics and are interested in maintaining Teufen as an attractive location for business.
In addition to my role in the trade association, I bring my own entrepreneurial experience to the table. With my background in strategic marketing and digital service design at the f5agentur, I understand the challenges that SMEs face on a day-to-day basis. This expertise allows me to bring innovative approaches and new perspectives to the table.

Review of the 2018 trade show
The Gewerbeschau Teufen 2018, under the motto “iischtigä bitte!”, was a great success and attracted around 8,000 visitors. A total of 82 exhibitors presented themselves on the Zeughausplatz, in the Zeughaus and in the Lindensaal. Highlights included the career show for young professionals, a varied stage program and the “Störflä” competition, in which participants were able to stamp their tickets at bus stops. The trade show provided a lively platform for local businesses and the region.
Organizing committee for the 2027 trade show
I am particularly looking forward to working on the major “Gewerbeschau 2027” project with OC President Rafael Schmid from the Schmid Fenster Manufaktur. Our first meeting will take place in April this year and there is a lot to do!

Work-life balance and substitution
Our credo in the OC is that we can support each other and also have each other's backs. We also want to be as efficient and expeditious as possible in our meetings, as well as paying attention to our own work-life balance. We will therefore not only meet in the evenings, but also look for lunch dates and plan online meetings.
